Me and ...

My Story
I have written a few chapters and changed careers a few times over the course of my life, and years ago, I was an actor. I memorized lines, stepped into different characters, and played to audiences as someone else. But beyond the stage, I sometimes found myself doing the same in everyday life—adapting, performing, and presenting a version of myself that felt safer.

Real growth doesn’t come from perfecting a role—it comes from letting go of the script and stepping fully into who you are. Therapy works the same way. It’s not about rehearsing the “right” version of yourself—it’s about getting honest, exploring what’s beneath the surface, and moving forward in a way that’s true to you.
I spent 15 years in the fast-paced world of education, holding multiple roles while keeping counselling at the core of my focus. That experience deepened my understanding of human dynamics, resilience, and personal growth, shaping the way I supported others and ultimately leading me to my work as a clinical counsellor.
Outside my work as a clinical counsellor, I have spent years developing my landscape painting skills, drawn to the way brushstrokes capture emotion, movement, and transformation—concepts that mirror the therapeutic process. Travel and spending time in Halifax, Nova Scotia—my birthplace—always deepens my connection to coastal landscapes and the evolving relationship between place, memory, and identity.
